Spinach Dip Recipe

This Spinach Dip recipe is a great make ahead appetizer dish for a buffet at your next cocktail party. Spinach Dip is also great with homemade Herb Bread as a change from the dark pumpernickel bread.

10 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed
1 pint sour cream
1 chopped green onion
1 clove minced garlic
1 teaspoon parsley
1 teaspoon salt
loaf of pumpernickel, or dark bread cut in strips

Squeeze out excess liquid from defrosted spinach. Blend all ingredients well with sour cream. Try to make a few hours ahead or overnight to blend flavors.

Vegetable Dip or Ranch Salad Dressing

For a vegetable tray dip take pint of sour cream or yogurt and add 1 teaspoon parsley, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon basil and ½ teaspoon chives.

For ranch style salad dressing take the same seasoning above but add it to 1 cup of mayo and whisk in 1 cup milk.
